Welcome back from break! Today’s #HumansofCDP are Daniela Graffeo ’25 and Shrutika Damle ’24 — facilitators who share the same major (Human Development) and a morning section of EDUC 2610. Check out what these two have to say about CDP and one another!
Why CDP?
Daniela:
I love being able to communicate even more intentionally with others, and I know that the frameworks we teach play a big part in having nuanced conversations with my peers, friends, and family in my daily life. In class, I love having a space where we can connect through dialogues about social identities, power, and making change!
Shrutika:
CDP holds a special place in my heart as one of the few spaces on campus where I am encouraged to critically examine the world around me, especially through the lens of power and privilege. I appreciate the opportunity to regularly engage in conversations that push me to explore and understand multiple perspectives. Beyond this, CDP has provided me with an irreplaceable community of friends and mentors!

What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?
Daniela:
Shrutika is so knowledgeable about everything we teach in CDP and clearly practices the skills and values everyday. She’s been a great guide for my first semester facilitating; it’s so easy to work together. I love how we are able to come up with so many ideas as a pair to support our students. I’m so glad to have her not only as a co, but as a friend!
Shrutika:
My favorite thing about Daniela is her passion, not only for CDP but also for so many other things, like dancing, crafts, and dogs. She brings so much energy and heart to everything she does, which makes being her co such a joy. Having known her since she was my student, it has been so special to see her grow into such an amazing and skilled facilitator!
