Today’s #HumansofCDP are Celeste Lim-Robinson '26 and Hans Garcia '25. Check out what these two have to say about CDP and one another!
How is EDUC 2610 different from other classes?
Celeste:
EDUC 2610 gives students the unique ability to practice agency in their learning and growth. Every student and facilitator is an integral part of forming the curriculum, connections, and dialogue that make the course so transformative. I know that when I enter the EDUC 2610 classroom, my experiences and input are welcomed and valuable for the learning of others.
How has CDP impacted your life outside of Cornell?
Hans:
I think CDP has had a profound impact on my life, empowering me to advocate for and interact with issues that are important to me. The interdisciplinary skills I’ve learned as a facilitator in CDP are effective across multiple contexts, and I’ve found myself using these skills in all parts of my life. Additionally, the human connections l’ve made as a part of CDP are lasting and impactful, and I continue holding these relationships close to me.

What do you admire about your co-facilitator?
Celeste:
Hans has a profound sense of empathy that shines through his facilitation, allowing him to sense what our class needs in an instant and provide it. Whether he’s asking an incredibly thoughtful question or offering a joking relief, he’s the perfect guide-consistently meeting students where they are and pushing them to their highest capabilities. As a facilitator, he’s both a natural teacher and truly caring friend.
What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?
Hans:
My favorite thing about Celeste is her genuine care for others! Her empathy and warmth is tangible, even during your first conversation with her, and her energy and enthusiasm is so palpable and genuine at all times. She is one of my closest friends, and I truly appreciate her presence in my life.
