Happy Humans of CDP season! Today’s #HumansofCDP are this semester's pair Vindhya Kathuria '25 and Alisa Castillo. Check out what these two have to say about CDP and one another!
How is EDUC 2610 different from other classes?
Vindhya:
EDUC 2610 is different from other classes because of its focus on co-learning, the tight-knit community, and the meaningful connections built within the classroom. Everyone is both a teacher and a learner, gaining from each other’s unique experiences. The small class size and emphasis on dialogue foster a strong sense of community, with relationships that often extend beyond the classroom.
What is your favorite CDP concept or tool? Why?
Alisa:
Of all the CDP tools, the LARA method is my favorite for fostering meaningful communication. It allows me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives in a way that is both engaging and productive.

What do you admire about your co-facilitator?
Vindhya:
I admire Alisa’s radiant and bubbly personality, her empathy for our students, and her ability to always make sessions fun! She has the best attitude and brings so much positive energy to every session. Her kindness and understanding make everyone feel comfortable and valued. She always finds creative ways to keep learning engaging and enjoyable. Alisa’s presence truly makes a difference, and I’m so grateful that she’s my co!
What is it like to work with your co-facilitator?
Alisa:
Working with Vindhya is a joy! She brings a sense of calm and composure both in and out of the classroom, offering insightful perspectives that enrich our discussions and bring ideas together. Her presence makes Monday sessions something I genuinely look forward to, and I love that we can grow together as facilitators, learning from and supporting one another along the way.
