Humans of CDP #148: Alisa ’26 and Pranav ’26

Our next #HumansOfCDP are Alisa Castillo ‘26 and Pranav Kaundinya ‘26! Check out what they’re saying about facilitating and one another!

Why did you become a facilitator?

Alisa:

I became a faciliator because I wanted to help create spaces where people can talk about their own identities, personal narratives, and differences. In a lot of classrooms, we don’t always have the time to slow down and really listen to connect with each other on a deeper level. I love that CDP and the use of dialogue gives us a chance to do just that.

What have you learned about human connection in CDP?

Pranav:

CDP has taught me a lot about human connection, including how to go about creating and maintaining it within different contexts. I have noticed myself becoming more intentional about making meaningful connections after taking EDUC 2610. I’m excited to continue to learn about human connection and explore how powerful this concept is.

What's your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?

Alisa:

I love the way Pranav engages with the classroom and is able to express different course concepts and answer student questions in a clear, understanding way. He’s really good at affirming others and making them feel heard, especially during our debriefs! I enjoy all the sessions I co-faciliate with Pranav because I know he has my back.

What do you about your co-facilitator?

Pranav:

I admire my co-facilitator’s lighthearted and casual energy, and her ability to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. I also admire how my co has run four marathons! I wanna learn how to run long distances without burning out from them.
