Humans of CDP #154: Laura ’26 and Dylan ’28

Our next #HumansOfCDP are Laura Twizere ‘26 and Dylan Wang ‘28! See what they have to say about CDP and each other!

What is your favorite CDP concept or tool? Why?

Laura:

My favorite CDP concept that is proving itself to be truer each time I facilitate is the idea of co-learning. Each time I walk out of a class I come out with a new idea or perspective I did not know before and it is a really affirming feeling because it shows how we are all sources of knowledge. It is very powerful to see how much you can learn from others just by opening yourself up to the possibility.

How is EDUC 2610 different from other classes?

Dylan:

EDUC 2610 is a class that truly engages. Unlike traditional lectures or formal discussions, it’s a space where everyone learns together through real dialogue. I’ve made close friendships with people I never expected to connect with, and hearing their stories has completely changed how I see others and myself.

What do you admire about your co-facilitator?

Laura:

I really admire Dylan’s ability to be vulnerable when sharing personal stories. He has the great ability to connect class concepts to a true and deep personal experience. It really sets a great example for the students to know what to share and opens up the class conversation.

Dylan:

Laura is someone I truly look up to and admire. It’s not just because she’s more experienced, but because of the way she interacts with people, with warmth, confidence, and genuine care. She knows how to maintain a balance between being approachable and setting clear boundaries. Whenever you talk to her, you somehow end up sharing things you never thought you would. I’ve learned so much from watching her lead with both strength and empathy.
