Humans of CDP #158: Pranav ’26 and Gianna ’27

Our next #HumansofCDP are Pranav Kaundinya '26 and Gianna Leon '27!

How is EDUC 2610 different from other classes?

Pranav:

I believe the co-learning environment, where everyone in the classroom is both a teacher and a learner, makes EDUC 2610 different from other classes. This environment allows us to learn from everyone’s unique experiences and backgrounds, rather than only learning from one instructor. Because of this, the class feels far more engaging, collaborative and reflective than other courses.

Why did you become a facilitator?

Gianna:

I became a facilitator because I truly believe that dialogue can help fix divide not just on campus, but in our broader society. So much disconnection comes from misunderstanding, dialogue gives us the tools to address and repair that disconnect. Also, being able to get to know so many different people on our campus and outside of my major has been so rewarding and fun!

What have you learned from your co-facilitator?

Pranav:

From Gianna, I have learned a lot more about biology and genetics, a field that I was completely unfamiliar with but able to learn about through her experiences. I have also learned the importance of curiosity, since hearing how she thinks through problems helped me see how she often starts with simply asking insightful questions.

What is it like to work with your co-facilitator?

Gianna:

I love working with Pranav! Our balance as co-facilitators makes every planning session and weekly section so fun and stress-free. I always know he has my back in the classroom!
