After undergoing an intensive five-day training at the beginning of the semester, and while participating in EDUC/ILRID 4826: Leading Dialogue Across Difference, CDP’s undergraduate facilitators are responsible for guiding one section of EDUC/ILRID 2610 in intergroup dialogue over the course of the semester. Additionally, our undergraduate facilitators lead tailored programs for undergraduate groups, organizations, courses, and more.
Fall 2025 Facilitators

Hi everyone! My name is Alisa. I am an Information Science major with Data Science and UX Design concentrations. I'm excited for this semester of CDP as we go through the different frameworks the course has to offer that have guided my journey through my time at Cornell since I took EDUC 2610 my sophomore spring. Outside of the classroom, I love exploring Ithaca and the surrounding area. I have a deep appreciation for my family, reading, home-cooked meals, and journaling.

Hi! My name is Anita, and I’m a junior at the ILR School. Outside of CDP, I’m involved in 180 Degrees Consulting at Cornell and The Women’s Network. As an international student from Tokyo, Japan, I love exploring different cultures through their food. With CDP, I’ve been encouraged to create meaningful relationships with people from all kinds of backgrounds, and I’m so excited to bring that energy into facilitating this fall!

Hi! I'm Dylan, and I am a sophomore in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. CDP helped me in many different ways, as it gave me the skills and the time to reflect on myself, interact with others, and practice metacognition. Outside of CDP, I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball. As a first-time facilitator, I hope to both inspire and get inspired by others through constant dialogue.

Hi everyone! I'm Gavin and I'm a senior in the Hotel School from San Carlos, California (near Stanford). I took CDP as a sophomore and it completely changed the way I think about my identities and the way they interact with the world. I'm involved in the Hotel Student Mentorship Program as well as Hotel Ezra Cornell here on campus. When I'm not engaging with my academic interests, you can usually find me searching for good eats and recharging with my friends. I'm so excited to continue learning about myself and all of you throughout my time as a facilitator, and can't wait to meet all of you!

Hi! I'm Grace and I am a junior in the ILR school and from Rhode Island. After taking EDCU 2610, I am more equipped to explore social identities and participate in meaningful dialogue with my peers. CDP has challenged my thinking and diversified my perspectives. I can't wait to be a CDP facilitator this semester!

Hey! I’m Gianna, and I’m a junior in CALS studying Biology with a concentration in Genetics, Genomics, and Development. I took CDP during my sophomore spring and loved learning how to connect with others, and myself, through dialogue. On campus, I’m part of Sabor Latino Dance Ensemble and conduct research on the role of connexin proteins in osteoarthritis development. I’m looking forward to the coming semester as it will be my first time facilitating!

Hi guys! My name is Icema Castle, and I am a junior in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. I am a co-president of Sabor Latino Dance Ensemble, a member of Black Ivy Pre-Law Honor Society, and will be an ILR Peer Mentor this fall. I took EDUC 2610 in the spring of 2024 and learned valuable communication skills that I use inside and outside the classroom. This is my third time facilitating, and I am excited about the experience!

Hi everyone! My name is Ivor (eye-vur), and I am a current Junior in ILR! Outside of being a CDP facilitator, I am also a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, an Undergraduate Resident Research Fellow, the Vice President of Finance for IGAC, a brother in the community service community (APO), an ILR Peer Mentor (and Peer Mentor Lead), and am a student assistant for the ILR Office of Engaged and Experiential Programs (OEEP)! I am deciding to continue to facilitate for CDP because when I took the class it was so amazing to me, since it allowed for me to further consider my own identities and better understand the social context in which I operate, which I hope to help others also achieve in my second semester facilitating!

Hi! My name is Kumba Cavazzini Diop, and I'm from Harlem, New York. I am currently a sophomore in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, pursuing minors in Migration Studies and International Relations. Beyond CDP, I am a fellow with Phi Lambda Sigma (POLIS), serve as the Internal Relations Chair for the Black Student Union, and act as the External Chair of Les Femmes Des Substance, an organization dedicated to the pre-professional development of Black women on campus.

My name is Laura Twizere, and I am a senior in the ILR School at Cornell University. Originally from Kigali, Rwanda, I grew up in Sacramento, California, where my experiences at an international school and in a culturally diverse community shaped my appreciation for different perspectives. These experiences taught me the value of fostering understanding and connection across differences. CDP is a unique and meaningful class that not only deepens your understanding of those around you but also fosters personal growth and self-awareness. On campus, I am actively involved in Thread Magazine, the International Student Union, and The Wardrobe. Outside of school, I enjoy thrifting, exploring new places with friends, and indulging in reality TV shows.

Hi! My name is Marisa, and I’m a junior studying Industrial & Labor Relations in the ILR School. I’m from Scarsdale, New York. I love to read and to spend time with my friends! To no surprise, as an ILRIE, I am pre-law and enjoy studying Disability Law. Outside of CDP, I’m the Treasurer of Cornell's premier law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and the External Outreach Chair for ASL@Cornell. I took EDUC 2610 in Spring of 2025 and learned so much that has allowed me to grow as a person. As a first-time facilitator, I’m excited to continue learning and meeting new people!

Hi everyone! My name is Mikayla and I am a senior in CALS, studying Communications and Fashion Studies through the Interdisciplinary Studies program. I took EDUC 2610 in my junior fall semester after a recommendation from a close friend and was truly delighted to have left the course feeling fulfilled with a deeper understanding of myself, how I can relate to others, and the world around me. This will be my first semester facilitating! I am delighted to lead others towards experiencing that same fulfillment and joy I did, as well as being reminded of the importance of community. In my free time, I enjoy indulging in my long TV watchlist, journaling, sewing, and I am a member of subcultural fashion communities! Looking forward to meeting everyone 🙂

Hey there! I'm Nic. I am a pre-law Sociology major from Baltimore, Maryland. Outside of CDP, I am a volunteer for the Cornell University Parole Initiative and an intern for a pro-bono legal aid service. In my personal time, I love to write, learn about Black/African history, go hiking, play Roblox, spend an unreasonably long amount of time scrolling through Instagram, explore new cuisines, and learn new languages (currently studying both Spanish and Yoruba). I am so excited to continue my journey as a CDP facilitator this year. Taking EDUC 2610 greatly influenced how I perceive and navigate human connection and social responsibility. Throughout my time at CDP, I learned much more about how social identities influence our lived experiences and how to communicate effectively with people with whom I disagree on controversial topics. Now, as a returning facilitator, I hope to assist in that same process of learning for others. I look forward to connecting with you all this upcoming semester!

Hi! My name is Pranav, and I am a senior in Dyson concentrating in finance and agribusiness management. CDP has taught me so much about how to interact and connect with others across differences, and I'm excited to continue to learn this semester! I am a first time facilitator, and outside of CDP I enjoy going to the gym and fishing.

Hi, my name is Reese Johnson and I'm from Long Island, NY! I am a senior in Industrial & Labor Relations pursuing a minor in Law & Society. Outside of CDP, I am a member of the Black Ivy Pre Law Society, the Black Women's Support Network, and Cornell Women's Club Soccer. In my free time, I enjoy writing and exploring creative outlets. I'm excited to meet everyone!

Hi! My name is Sofia, and I’m a sophomore in the ILR School. After taking Intergroup Dialogue last spring, I’m super excited to be facilitating the course for the first time this fall! I hope to help students build lasting connections and understand the same communication strategies that I took away from the course. Outside of class, I love to play the flute, dance, and watch shows on Netflix. I can’t wait to learn through this experience, and I look forward to a great semester!

Hi! My name is Taryn, and I’m from Los Angeles, CA. I’m a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in Economics with a minor in Business and Inequality Studies. Through EDUC 2610, I learned valuable lessons about communicating across differences, skills that I know will serve me well in all areas of life. I’m excited to bring that experience into my first semester as a CDP facilitator!
