Our next #HumansofCDP for Spring 2026 are Celeste Lim-Robinson '26 and Aima Raza '27!
Why do you keep facilitating?
Celeste:
I have been lucky to see the profound effect of peer education on our students over the past three years. Facilitating has allowed for further vulnerability and co-learning than I have seen in any other course at Cornell, supporting students to exercise agency and engaged participation in their learning. I benefit from having been both a facilitator and student in this course, giving me relevant tools and experience to guide current students.
Why did you become a facilitator?
Aima:
There is a rare diaspora of classes at Cornell that truly engage us as students to collaborate and learn how to dialogue with each other. The things we learn in this course provide us not just with an amazing backbone of communication for Cornell, but in our professional lives and personal pursuits.
What’s your favorite thing about your co-facilitator?
Celeste:
I love how Aima leads with such vulnerability, paving the way for our students to do the same. Every week, I feel I learn so much more about her because she shares incredibly thoughtful and purposeful personal narratives that make our dialogue richer and add complexity to the concepts we explore. Furthermore, this bravery in demonstrating vulnerability serves as a wonderful model for students as we establish trust and community within our classroom.
What do you admire about your co-facilitator?
Aima:
The energy Celeste brings to our sessions is truly contagious. Between her intuitive insights and her enthusiastic work ethic, she is a natural facilitator who makes complex dialogue look easy. She is a powerhouse in the classroom, and outside of it, she has the best thrifted style — I’m definitely a little jealous of her unique finds!
